MIT Entrepreneurship Center Etiquette

§         Some of us live here more than we live at home. We welcome you as guests in our home. You can imagine we might feel violated if you come into one of our rooms and move our stuff or leave it messy.

§         The Conference room can be reserved for club activities a couple of weeks in advance. Contact E-Center Staff to make the reservation.

§         Visiting the E-Center is better than a trip to the White Mountains. So pack out your trash, and leave your site cleaner than you found it. All food and drink must be removed from the conference room and the Entrepreneurship Center after the meeting. Please leave the conference room spotless and ready for the next conference. There are cleaning supplies under the sink and a vacuum cleaner in Ken’s office.

§         This may be MIT but in entrepreneurship, we are fragile and sensitive creatures. Don’t kick the cords, and don’t hit the monitors.

§         Don’t use the photocopier (on Friday nights we all take turns sitting on it –even Audrey).

If you are using the MIT Entrepreneurship premises late in the evening:

  • Please clean the areas you have used. Clean the kitchen if you have used the area.
  • Check to see if you should run the dishwasher.
  • All food should be taken out to the trash cans outside the office, ideally outside the building.
  • Do not stuff left over food in the refrigerator.
  • DO NOT stuff the food into bins inside the E-Center; It smells bad by morning.

Many of us live and work in this office 12+ hours per day, we spend more time here than at home. So we ask that you treat the office as if it were your home; it’s ours.

Introduce new members of your organization to all members of the staff at the Entrepreneurship center so we know who they are.

Do not use the E-Center staff's cubes and computers without permission.

Make sure the doors are properly secured before you leave.

Supplies:  Please inform Pat Fuligni if you are using any of the supplies from the E-Center.
