Invitation to Offer an Internship in

MITs Entrepreneurship Lab Course (#15.399)

Thank you for your interest in offering an internship for a small team of our savvy students. We would be delighted to have you participate in the MIT Entrepreneurship Lab (E-Lab) as a host company during the upcoming Fall semester starting in September. We promise our best efforts to make it a highly rewarding experience for your firm

The E-Lab course offers graduate students the opportunity to work with host companies on a problem which is important to the CEO. The team works one to two days a week during the semester.

The weekend before the semester begins, host companies will have the opportunity to review student profiles and resumes online, and then contact any students enrolled to take the course who are of interest to them. During the first class of the semester students form teams and choose the companies and projects that align with their interests. If your company is selected by a student team, you can expect to meet with them on or about the first Friday of the semester. Please set aside time that day to meet your team, determine if the team is a good fit, and further refine the scope of the project.

To begin your E-Lab application process, simply:

a) Use our Web site to enter your company and project descriptions: http://entrepreneurship.mit.edu/ELAB/. Returning E-Lab companies must create a new project on-line for the new semester.

b) Call us with any questions or contact elab-ta@mit.edu directly.

Please note: After the semester is over we request a totally voluntary contribution of stock or cash with a value of at least $2000 from companies that receive and are satisfied with a student team. We strongly prefer you make your contribution in stock rather than cash. The donation will support the E-Lab course and the programs and activities of the MIT Entrepreneurship Center.

Additionally, there is an appreciation and networking reception for all participating company CEOs. Thank you very much for helping to make # 15.399 Entrepreneurship Lab one of the most popular courses at MIT.

Sincerely yours,

Alan MacCormack
