15.360 "Introduction to Technological Entrepreneurship" is followed almost immediately by 15.362, one week of visits with leaders of the California venture capital community and with founders and CEOs of startups and successful enterprises in the life sciences, medical technology, software, information technology, advanced materials, and new energy fields based in Silicon Valley, California.
This trip occurs during the first or second week of January, scheduled early in the regular MIT Independent Activities Period so as not to interfere with summer recruiting and IAP short courses. For 2010 the trip is likely to be scheduled to begin the evening of Saturday, January 2 and end on Wednesday, January 6.
Note: The E&I experience is bi-coastal, and global. Route 128 venture community leaders will visit regularly with the E&I cohort throughout both the first and second years.
