THE CONTEST

A Contest for what?

This is a contest to become a member of the Board of Editors, in one of the positions detailed above.

Why a contest?

MITER is a honors-based review, with a selection process patterned after Law School Reviews. We are selecting its Board of Editors through a contest to ensure top talent, dedication, and fairness in the process, honoring MIT’s position as a honest broker.

Who can participate?

Everyone. We will select strictly on the basis of merit, with no restriction of tenure, school or lab affiliation, status, or even MIT affiliation.

What do I need to do to participate?

You need to submit to MITER@MIT.EDU

-A writing sample of medium-form content (as explained above). Note that we are looking for creative, thought-leading editors, so that YOU DO NOT NEED to conform to the example provided in Appendix 2. All forms of medium-form content are acceptable.

      -Your resume

What is the submission deadline?

November 10th

Who will do the judging?

We will assemble a panel of faculty and industry professionals to select the Board of Editors. The composition of the panel will not be disclosed until after the decision is made, for fairness purposes.
