Since 1996, more than 350 start-up companies have offered internships to MIT students through the E-Lab program. A
number of these companies, many of which originated at MIT, donate stock or cash funds to defray some of the costs
associated with administering E-Lab. Their commitment to the program makes them a valuable source of contacts, information, resources, and job opportunities for students.
