Metcalfe's Law - named for 3Com Corporation founder Robert M. Metcalfe '68 - states that the usefulness or utility of
a network equals the square of the number of users. In other words, the more people involved in a network, the higher
its value. This law holds true at the MIT Entrepreneurship Center, where students, professionals, and alumni routinely
reap benefits from their involvement that far exceed the effort they expend.
