Donors who support the MIT Entrepreneurship Center realize benefits beyond the
purely philanthropic. They can directly experience the excitement of the MIT $50K
Entrepreneurship Competition, interact with students working with start-up
companies in the E-Lab and global E-Lab, participate in discussions with faculty and
entrepreneurs, attend the annual student-led Venture Capital Conference, and learn
about revolutionary technologies and promising companies at the earliest stages
of their development.
Opportunities to support the MIT Entrepreneurship Center programs include:
- Naming gift for the MIT Entrepreneurship Program—$15 million
- Naming gift for the Lab for Entrepreneurial Practice, supporting the E-Lab course and related program activities—$10 million
- Chair in Entrepreneurship which would enable MIT to recruit a new tenure-track professor and fund that professor's research—$6 million
- Naming gift for a visiting professorship in entrepreneurship, a rotating chair for distinguished visitors—$5 million
- Endowed professorship in entrepreneurship—$3 million
- Career Development professorship—$1.25 million
- Entrepreneurship curriculum development fund—$2 million
- Richard S. Morse Fund for Entrepreneurship to support Visiting Practitioners (multiple gifts of $100,000 each)—$2 million
