Successful entrepreneurs have a passion for sharing their vision and helping others. They also understand the
importance of making connections with potential technology, funding, and marketing partners. This is best accomplished
through good old-fashioned face time, but there is no better forum for nurturing essential business contacts than at the
MIT Entrepreneurship Center's networking events. Through receptions, black-tie dinners, and international conferences,
the MIT E-Center brings together an outstanding network of CEO's, alumni, students, faculty, venture capitalists, and
other key players in the venture support system.
At our semi-annual E-Lab CEO Reception, we recognize E-Lab companies for their contributions to the intellectual life
of the school. We also hold various networking receptions and dinners around the world. Members of the MIT
Entrepreneurship Society (E-Society) are always invited to these events.
Testimonial: "I arranged to meet Bill Zebuhr and Bill Lockwood of Ovation for a stand-up interview at the CEO Reception almost exactly one year ago. I had been bugging them for weeks to just let me visit for an informational interview. Perhaps it was something in the food or the air, or perhaps it was just the right time for the right people to meet. After a short conversation, they asked me to come for an interview the following week. I went, and landed what has turned out to be my dream job before the end of the interview.
Thank you for setting up a community in which people and businesses can see each other shine; one where we can make ourselves shine even more brightly with real commitments, connections and actions." Anne Elizabeth Pelz, Sloan MBA '02 Marketing Manager Ovation Products Corporation
Before finalizing their weekly schedules, hard core entrepreneurs make sure to consult our calendar of networking
events and workshops throughout the year.
Many student organizations also hold their own networking events year round, which are listed on the calendar. Contact student leaders directly for more information about the events, the organizations themselves, or how to get involved.
