12/13/12 - Testive is dedicated to creating "online test prep that doesn't suck", according to Miro Kazakoff, Testive Co-Founder. 11/29/12 - Fiona Murry suggests at least two ingredients are key to growing a region's economic impact: Innovation Capacity and Entrepreneurial Capacity. 11/19/12 - Tech Crunch's Sarah Perez reports that a new partnership between Locu and OpenTable will let restaurants provide more accurate and timely menus online. Locu makes it easy to edit and design a restaurant's online menu, keep it consistent across the web, and make that data easy to export to other formats.To date, it has collected almost half a million restaurant menus. 11/09/12 - Tim Fu (Sloan 2012) tore his ACL in 2009 playing Ultimate Frisbee. During his physical therapy, he thought there must be a better way to to assist patients with physical therapy at home. His startup, Home Team Therapy, uses the Xbox Kinect to make it easy for patients to ensure they are doing their exercises correctly at home. 11/06/12 - Gaëtan Bonhomme, Vice President of Kurion, is working to clean up the contaminated water at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power plant, reports Andrew Morse of the Wall Street Journal. Kurion is using a new technology that filters nuclear waste and then fuses the contaminated materials into glass, forming a much more stable way of handling and disposing of the nuclear waste. 10/24/12 - While the price of electronics continue to decrease year after year, the price of hearing aids is on the rise, according to Tricia Romano's story in the New York Times. This is often due to overengineering of hearing aids, and adding features that consumers don't really use.
