Tim Fu (Sloan 2012) tore his ACL in 2009 playing Ultimate Frisbee. During his physical therapy, he thought there must be a better way to to assist patients with physical therapy at home. His startup, Home Team Therapy, uses the Xbox Kinect to make it easy for patients to ensure they are doing their exercises correctly at home. Home Team Therapy was recently featured on The Doctors TV to show exactly how useful this can be for at home users. "The Kinect uses infrared sensors to track your body in 3D space and can actually verify whether the patient is doing their exercises properly and give them real time feedback on whether their doing them quick enough, or with the right posture," says Tim Fu.
