Students benefit from the active involvement of alumni and other professionals, just as those groups benefit from
their interactions with the MIT student community. Through the MIT Entrepreneurship Center, MIT graduates and other
business and education professionals get involved with the Institute and its students through mentoring programs,
E-Lab internships, networking events, program sponsorship, speaking engagements, and workshops.
Many of these professionals and alums are also involved with the MIT Enterprise Forum, a volunteer, non-profit
organization run by the MIT Alumni Association. The Forum comprises 18 US chapters and six chapters outside the US.
Its mission is to promote and strengthen the process of starting and growing technology-oriented companies through
services and programs that educate, inform, and support the entrepreneurial community.
Many of our most active entrepreneurial alumni plug into our network by joining the prestigious MIT Entrepreneurship
Society (E-Society).
