2026 Host Companies

AutoAce

AutoAce builds AI employees for car dealerships. Our voice agents answer inbound service calls, book appointments, retrieve repair order updates from DMS systems, and escalate intelligently, without adding another dashboard. We’re a founding team of three MIT Class of 2025 engineers building distribution and product simultaneously. We’re not just selling software, we’re engineering distribution.

Internship – mostly in person, some remote work possible
Company HQ – Boston

We’re looking for a technical, AI-powered Business Developer Intern who can build scalable dealership outreach systems, not just manually send emails. This growth engineering role sits exactly at the intersection of engineering and revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Engineering Outbound Systems: Identify dealership groups and decision-makers, build scraping + enrichment workflows, and design automated outbound pipelines.
  • AI-Augmented Outreach: Work with AI-personalized email generation, automated follow-up sequencing, and outbound AI calling experiments.
  • Build Internal Sales Infrastructure: Develop lead scoring systems, outreach analytics dashboards, and structured logging + attribution tracking.
  • Technical Workflows: Run outbound experiments using our in-house voice AI system (Speech → Text → LLM → Text → Speech) using our internal AI pipeline.
  • Mini Project: Own a growth engineering initiative end-to-end: design architecture, implement the pipeline, deploy, and present measurable results.

The Stack

  • Supabase (pipeline database, tracking)
  • Next.js (internal tools)
  • Automation tooling
  • Closure Clock Code for structured workflow logic

What we’re looking for

  • Strong technical ability with a CS background preferred.
  • Comfortable with TypeScript and familiar with Next.js + Supabase.
  • Experience with APIs, automation, and systems thinking.
  • Bonus experience with scraping, LLM APIs, and growth experiments.

The Opportunity

This is not a sales internship. You will engineer distribution systems and build AI-assisted growth infrastructure, working directly with three technical founders to ship weekly and helping shape our go-to-market strategy as you build the machine that scales AutoAce.

Carbion

Carbion is building a cleaner, more resilient energy future by transforming biomass into battery-grade graphite for next-generation energy storage. Our patented thermochemical process enables the world’s first sustainable, domestic graphite production.

We are seeking a Materials Science / Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering R&D Intern to help develop, characterize, and optimize Carbion’s graphite for battery applications.

Internship – in person

  • Experience with mechanical fabrication, prototyping, or shop tools (mill, drill press, CNC, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or Python for data analysis.
  • Prior R&D or lab experience in a thermal or chemical process setting is preferred.

Attributes

  • Curious, self-driven, and adaptable in a fast-moving startup environment.
  • Comfortable working hands-on with lab equipment and tools.
  • Ability to operate independently in a startup lab environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passionate about sustainability, clean energy, and advanced materials innovation.

Durability

Over 50% of sports injuries lead to re-injury, often because athletes return to training before addressing the root cause. Injury isn’t just a moment, it’s a process that starts long before the tear and lingers long after the comeback. Every athlete knows the frustration: months of work, the thrill of getting back, only to break down again. We built Durability to end that cycle.

Using computer vision and AI, we analyze movement, predict risks, and guide lasting recovery. We track progress and deliver personalized plans that keep athletes durable and at their peak. Whether rehabbing a major injury or staying ahead of the smaller ones, Durability turns injury prevention into an advantage.

KIRA

KIRA is the universal solution to the toughest wastewaters. We transform liquid waste streams into ultrapure water and solids, lowering disposal costs and enabling resource recovery. Wastewater production plagues all critical industries – from data centers and manufacturing to domestic drinking water treatment plants. Traditional liquid waste disposal is costly, logistically challenging, often requires significant footprint, and is a regulatory nightmare. We are tackling this by electrifying a traditionally steam-driven technology that catalyzes the natural water cycle, transforming the toughest waste streams into clean water and simple solids. Our products require minimal maintenance, are modular and deployable, and run efficiently on electricity – enabling them to be adapted to industrial applications from on-grid metal shops to off-grid mining sites. Long-term, we have a vision for implementing this technology in developing areas around the world, providing long-standing resilience where membrane-based technologies fail.

Internship – in person, hybrid possible
Company HQ – Boston

We are looking for a motivated intern who is driven by the opportunity to make a foundational impact with an expeditious team and innovative technology. The successful candidate will be a fast-learner, curious, and flexible to the dynamic environment of a rapidly growing company. This person will be directly responsible for improving the company performance via:

  • Aiding in the fabrication, construction, and sourcing of an industrial-refrigerator-sized prototype thermal hazardous wastewater treatment system.
  • Conducting testing, writing standard operating procedures, and analysis reports for the current product iteration on synthetic and customer-sampled water and wastewater streams.
  • Assist in market and value-chain analysis, financial modeling and competitive technological analysis.
  • There is potential to travel (local, some wider-US potential) to customer field sites for interviewing, sampling, and pilot operation.

This individual will report to the CEO and secondarily to the CTO. The individual will ultimately enable and catalyze early-product development and early customer success.

Background and Experience

The ideal candidate will have background experience in both hands-on, practical engineering and business development. One skillset may be weighted higher than the other, but a balance and interest in both are highly desirable. Key skills and prior experience include:

  • Minimum 3-years of undergraduate or equivalent work experience.
  • Familiarity with fabrication and early-product design: 3D printing, power and hand tools, plumbing, instrumentation/sensing, and automation is desired but not required.
  • Understanding of heat and mass transfer concepts, fluids, HVAC, water and/or wastewater treatment.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and reporting skills.
