What is the R2E Grant?
This is an 8-month-long grant for MIT PhDs and postdocs to support the commercialization of tech coming out of your lab. It’s an opportunity for you to receive tailored programming, expert mentorship, funding, and join a cohort of fellow researchers.
Who should apply for the Grant?
MIT postdocs or PhDs who have a technology and/or research product who are actively seeking to build a company or strongly considering commercializing their tech.
R2E details:
- Runs from October 14, 2025 through May 15, 2026
- Up to $20,000 in non-dilutive funding to be used for helping commercialization
- Dedicated mentors to support this process (made up of an industry expert and an Entrepreneur in Residence)
- Custom board of industry advisors
- Monthly programming and coaching
- Cohort social activities
